Tell us about yourself
I work for My Addiction skincare located in Rancho Cucamonga and have been lashing for one year! And let me tell you how fast time flies by! I was born in Harbor city and lived in Los Angeles until I was seven years old. Then, I started a new life here in Rancho.
describe your journey to becoming a lash artist.
Growing up I wanted to be a Veterinarian, but I see why so many young women join the beauty industry. It’s a lifestyle in itself and an amazing feeling seeing the transformation you accomplish on a client. I knew it would be a challenge, but it would be something I could see myself truly enjoying and making a living from. So, I looked up Esthetician schools and happened to have one of the best schools near me. I went to Citrus College in Glendora, Ca to get more information. Shortly after, I started a new course! I enrolled in the morning program, which was 5 days a week and a long 8 hours everyday. It became exhausting but worth every hour. It was a short 6 month course, but on top of working full time and homework/studying, I was close to losing my mind! But nothing was going to stop me from graduating and receiving my Esthetician license ! I’m truly thankful for the experience, the journey, and the amazing women I met in school!
What are some of your favorite products?
Now that I have played with different lashes and tools I can honestly say Lash Affair is by far my favorite ! The One by Lash Affair is my favorite adhesive by far, it has great retention!
What is your favorite aspect of being a lash artist?
My favorite aspect of being a lash artist is knowing I did my part and making my clients feel beautiful by creating my own work.
What aDVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO ASPIRING LASH ARTISTS?
Some advice I would give to new lash artist is to be patient!! I can’t stress it enough. Practice everyday and focus on one task at a time, the rest will come! My favorite aspect of being a lash artist is knowing I did my part and making my clients feel beautiful by creating my own work.
