Quick Ways to Make Extra Money

If you could make more money with the clients that you already have on your table, why wouldn't you? Lash Affair understands that your income is directly correlated to your client's happiness. We wanted to give you a few ideas on how to boost your clients happiness, AND your income! Whatever facet of the beauty industry you specialize in, there are many ways to heighten your clients experience while making some extra cash.

Offering quick add ons to your menu shows clients that you are dedicated to providing them with the most positive and uplifting experience. Have your salon stand out from the crowd by getting creative with a few add ons we list below!

1| Choose a Brow Lift

If many of your clients come to you for lash extensions or lash lifts it can be in your best interest to promote a brow lift with your service. If your client is having a beauty service done, we can guess that they would like to save time getting ready in the morning. During a lash fill or lift, offer a brow lift to your clients at the end of their service.

The best part about doing a brow lift is that you can use the same products from your ModesTease Lash Lift Kit! Before performing a lash or brow lift service on your clients, we highly suggest taking our Lash & Brow Lift Online Course to familiarize yourself with our unique products.

2| Suggest a Brow Shaping

Brow shaping is a great service to add on at the end of lash extensions or a lash lift to help finish off the look. This doesn’t have to be a full brow wax, but even a quick tweeze and trim can work wonders!

Your clients will be appreciative, and will most likely be willing to pay for a quick shape up after their service with you. However, if you end up doing a brow wax, your client needs to wait 7 days to have a brow lift done.

3| Everyone loves a Lash Cleanse & Fluff

If you already offer brow shaping, consider adding a free lash cleanse and dry to your clients. This will help to teach clients how to properly cleanse their extensions and won’t take much of your time. You can talk them through the process while gently moving the brush throughout the lashes with a small bit of antibacterial cleanser, such as the TLC Cleanser.

You can use a rinse bottle with a long neck, similar to a tattoo artist’s bottle to rinse with steady pressure. Have the client turn to one side, and place a towel or a kidney dish beside her face as you're rinsing to catch the excess water. Finish off the cleanse with a quick blow dry and brush to fluff out those lashes. This quick lash cleanse & fluff will make your clients feel good, and show that you care for their lash hygiene.

4| Offer a Paraffin Wax

Paraffin wax is an odorless wax used for many different cosmetic spa treatments and therapeutic treatments. This has been a tried and true service for some time.
It’s a wonderful treatment to add on to cosmetic services to help lock in moisture and rid of dead skin cells. Being a natural emollient, the wax helps to make skin look and feel smoother.

Paraffin wax is also known to treat conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. Acting as a form of heat therapy, the wax helps to increase blood flow, which in turn helps to reduce pain and lock in moisture. Offering a quick paraffin wax is one of the most relaxing services to offer during or at the end of any appointment.

5| Add a Hand Massage

At the beginning or end of your lash or brow service consider giving your clients a hand massage to help them relax. There are multiple ways in which you can do this to enhance the client experience, so let us tell you a few.

Hand massage with oil - a hand massage with a bit of peppermint or CBD oil is great to help allow your clients to fully relax into the bed. Give a few moments to each hand ensuring your fully massage the wrist to the fingertips. This is especially helpful when you’re working on a fellow lash artist- her hands and wrists are sore!

Hand massage with exfoliant - a great way to help enhance your client’s service is through an exfoliating hand massage. Take a small bit of your favorite exfoliant and rub it into the dry skin. Then place a warm, steamed towel over the hand and allow it to sit up to 5 minutes. Finish with a nice hand lotion- maybe one that you have on hand for retail!

6| Try a Scalp and Temple Massage with CBD Roller

At the end of your lash service, giving a scalp and temple massage for a few moments is one of the best ways in which you can help enhance your clients experience. Use a small massage oil roller, or place a bit of massage oil on your fingers, and rub your client’s scalp, temples, and forehead. Consider using a peppermint/eucalyptus scent, or a CBD oil to help their relaxation.

We've only listed a few items here, but there are endless ways you can earn extra money with the clients you are already servicing! The amount you charge per service will depend on your area and years of experience. Your time is valuable and worth money, and we hope our little tips were helpful! Do you offer any other add on services that your clients love? Send us a message and we would love to share!
