What’s your story?
I am originally from southern California but grew up in a small town in Montana. My husband and I moved to Idaho about eight years ago and I began dental assisting. I think dental assisting helped me find my love for meticulous work but ultimately, when I wanted a career change, a friend guided me to get my Estheticians license and start my lashing career in April of 2017.
What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
There are lots of reasons that I love what I do! Honestly, I love a challenge. Lashing isn’t always straight forward and simple so when my client and I both love the set that I have created it is really rewarding. I also love that I can make my clients feel like the bombshells they are. There is something about a fresh set of lashes that is kind of empowering and it’s awesome that I can make people feel that way.
Do you have a certain style you prefer?
The shorter the better! I have to laugh at myself because I get so excited when my clients tell me that they want to reduce in length.
Do you edit or filter your photos?
I sometimes use Lightroom or Facetune to smooth the look of the photo just because I would rather the focus be on the eyes and not the imperfections of the skin. However, I do not edit the lashes because I don’t want the lashes to become something they aren’t.
What’s the best way you’ve found you can attain and retain clients?
The best way for me to attain clients has been word-of-mouth 100%. I live in a small town so the word spreads quickly! Providing the best service that I can, being available, and also caring and connecting with my clients has definitely contributed to my great client retention.
How did you hear about Lash Affair and what’s your favorite product?
I heard about Lash Affair when I went to my first International Beauty Show in Las Vegas and from there I was pretty much sold. Clear Connection Adhesive is a no-brainer for me! I have a full clientele and no time to mess with retention issues so I know I can rely on the Clear Connection adhesive because the product is so consistent!
