How long do classic vs volume extensions last?
Both classic and volume extensions last through a typical fill cycle of 2 to 3 weeks. Retention depends on application technique, adhesive choice, client aftercare, and natural lash growth. Classic typically retains 60 to 70 percent at 2 weeks; volume retains 65 to 75 percent.
What's the difference between classic, volume, and hybrid lashes?
Classic lashes apply one extension per natural lash for a natural, defined look. Volume lashes use 2 to 6 ultra-fine extensions fanned onto each natural lash for fuller density. Hybrid mixes classic and volume techniques for a textured, in-between effect — currently the most popular choice in U.S. salons.
What lash supplies should a new lash artist start with?
Most new lash artists start with classic trays in mid-range curls (C and D) and lengths (10mm to 14mm), one professional adhesive, isolation tweezers, and a volume tweezer for when they progress. From there, expand into volume trays, mega trays, and specialty curls based on client demand.
